All conference presenters are invited to submit papers
for the refereed conference proceedings, once again to be published in Astrophysics and Space Science.
The proceedings of the 5th Conference are available as Vol. 298.
Submission of the papers will be done online using the Editorial Manager software (https://www.editorialmanager.com/astr/).
The first step in the submission process will be to register online. Then you will be able to upload your paper following the simple steps. The software has a very detailed “help” to answer possible questions.
IMPORTANT: Do not forget to select the option "Special Issue HEDLA Conference" on the step assigned for "Article Type", this will let us know that your paper is intended for our special issue.
Accepted file formats: Word, WordPerfect, RTF, TXT, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, EPS, LaTeX2E, TeX, Postscript, PICT, Excel and Powerpoint
Manuscript length: 6 journal pages for the oral presentations and 4 pages for posters. There is also a lower limit on the paper length - the journal does not print papers which are less than 4 journal pages long, which means that the final versions of the papers should exceed 3 journal pages.
for submission: one
month after the conference, April 14, 2006.
More details: All typesetting will be done by the journal so there is no need to follow a specific format. Text can be prepared in your favorite word processor (the list of accepted file formats is on the web) and uploaded, the figures should be uploaded separately from the text (see again the accepted formats). The length of the text could be estimated as follows: 6 journal pages (for oral talks) correspond to the text length of 26000 characters (no spaces), each figure (1 column width X 1 column height) takes 1000 characters, so the corresponding number (number of figures X area ) should be subtracted from the 26000 limit. 4 journal pages (for posters) correspond to the text length of 17000, with the same reduction for each figure appearing in the text.
